EDT 605 Assignment 3: WEB 2.0 LESSON
Allyson D. Klipa
National University
Response to Criteria:
1. This lesson is designed around Google Tools, an increasingly popular Web 2.0 "cool tool". I've used Blogger to create a classroom site where the assignment is delivered through the use of Google Presentation, an interactive and collaborative PowerPoint style environment where students may interact and create a group project together, at any time of the day or night.
2. This lesson, Classroom Study Guide, is modeled after my assigned instructional model: Component Display Theory. Using flash cards is a way to use both learning outcomes of performance (Remembering) and content (Facts). The way we remember facts is by seeing the question or the idea, and then associating that idea with information that describes it. According to the theory, the concept of recall is a primary way to present information. This lesson relies on recall to assist the students in remembering those facts that they've learned, and transferring that knowledge towards the summative assessment of the unit being studied.
3. Each student in my "tester" classroom is assigned an anatomical term with which to create a "set" of digital flash cards. The success of the assignment depends on the participation of everyone involved.
